Vision to Guide Bible FWB Church

1. The Bible FWB Church is called to be a family reaching church by applying the following Scriptures:

     1) Deut. 6:4-9 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with

all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee

this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk

of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest

down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be

as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy

           gates.

       2) Matt. 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven

and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of

the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded

you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

2. The church is not only concerned with asking the question of where will you spend eternity, but where will your children/ grandchildren spend eternity? We only reach your children 2-3 hours per week, as a church, but you reach them much more often. Take pride in the Spiritual inheritance you pass along to your children/ grandchildren. The church is not a babysitter, but an equipper.

3. The role of the church is to support families thru training, encouragement, and resources to enable the family leaders to not only learn God’s Word but to use it to train up their families in knowledge and understanding of it, as well as in everyday application of it. The church is not to replace the family where it exists, but to support it. However, when there is no family or family involvement, we as Christians must take it upon ourselves to become that family, especially in Spiritual matters, so that they may receive a Spiritual inheritance.

4. We are not called to be comfortable (see John 15:18-19). Church is not a place to be comfortable. We should not wear Christianity like a brand, but we must live it out each and every day, being obedient to God and His Word, not for salvation, but because of the salvation He has given to us and made available to everyone, by His grace through faith in Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior.

5. We love all people, Christian as well as the lost. We are called to share the Gospel with all people, not to horde it as a secret. Christ is available to all, because we are all sinners according to Rom. 3:23. We cannot judge, it’s not our job. We must love everyone!!!
